2/1/08 update
Helped by another Fed interest rate cut, both the overall market and biotechs had decent weeks. But neither was able to make it to positive territory for the year. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -9.01% YTD (vs. -12.29% YTD a week ago) and the NBI was down -1.60% YTD (vs. -5.17% YTD a week ago).
The Contest portfolios rallied as well, with the median closing the week down -2.40% YTD (vs. down -7.39% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 10 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD and 12 were beating the NBI. ROBERT's portfolio had another terrific week, widening its lead. It's now up an amazing 26.7% YTD, more than double RCMAC's second place portfolio which closed up 12.4% YTD.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
