2/8/08 update
It was a Super week for football and politics junkies but there was little that was super in the world of Wall Street. Both the Nasdaq Composite Index and the Nasdaq Biotech Index were down for the week, with the NCI closing off -13.10% YTD (vs. -9.01% YTD a week ago) and the NBI off -4.57% YTD (vs. -1.60% YTD a week ago).
The Contest portfolios also did poorly, with the median closing the week down -6.13% YTD (vs. down -2.40% YTD a week ago).
At Friday's close, 7 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD and 13 were beating the NBI. Although it gave up a little ground last week, ROBERT's portfolio (up 25.7% YTD) continued far in front, with RCMAC's portfolio (up 10.3% YTD) holding down second place.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
