2/15/08 update
It may have been Valentine's Day week, but there was little love in the air on Wall Street. And the early-part-of-the-week rally was pretty much wiped out by week's end. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -12.46% YTD (vs. -13.10% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -4.73% YTD (vs. -4.57% YTD a week ago). The Contest portfolios also had a mediocre week, with the median closing down -7.37% YTD (vs. down -6.13% YTD a week ago).
At Friday's close, as was the case last week, 7 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD and 13 were beating the NBI.
Despite the less than stellar performance of the Indexes and the Contest median, ROBERT's COR-heavy portfolio skyrocketed to a 44.7% YTD gain. RCMAC's portfolio (up 15.3% YTD) continued in second place.
Have a fun President's Day weekend folks!
