Knighty,

have you looked into the zone yet?

i don't think i mentioned it here before, but the italian national basketball team that took home the silver medal had started the zone diet with fish oil 6 months before the 2004 olympics.

yeah, the same italian national basketball team that was predicted to finish last in the european trials. yup, the same one that handed the nba laden us olympic team their first olympic exhibition loss in 20 games - they eeked out their victory by a mere 17 points over the nba stars. ;-)

minnesota's volleyball team started the zone diet and proceeded to win their very first big 10 championship *ever*. they may it to thw sweet 16... and the whole team returns next year.

zonediet.com

anecdotal, yes. pretty freaking unreal anecdotal data, yes.

i started doing 10 lb flies last june after taking 19 years off from any type of resistance training due to my injured nerves. last week i benched 160 lbs 5 times with no spotter (probably coulda nailed 6). this isn't much to strong folks, but it is quite a lot for guy who had to lean on a 69 year old to loosen a screw about 7 months ago.

my goal is to increase my 8/6/4 three set bench program (45 seconds between lifts) 5 lbs a month. that would put me at a respectable 205 lbs 8/6/4 by next january.

i look forward to the challenge.

i'm 158.6 lbs and dropping to washboard abs in the next 3 months - probably around 8-9% body fat or so.

a karate instructor zoner is 155 lbs and can bench 240 lbs. i hope to be 165 lbs at 7-9% body fat by january '09.
