Against McCain and Romney, Obama does equally as well if not better:

I didn't say Obama didn't do better. I just said she could do just fine... and the argument is whether or not she can win the national, not whether or not Obama would win it by more. I think any of the Dems would beat any of the Reps rather handily this year. I don't think it's a trend that will keep up, but in 2008, I think that's accurate.

>Bottom line: Hillary is a divider who voted for the war. Enough said.

But that's not what we're discussing here. We're discussing whether or not she can win a general election, and all signs point to yes.

Again, I don't think she will win a national election. That is my opinion based upon what I am hearing. National politics are tricky and we've all seen how the national polls have changed significantly over the past 6 months. Given a good alternative, it seems people don't want to vote for Hillary. That's what has allowed Obama to rise significantly in those polls. If McCain gets the GOP nod and the surge continues to go in the right direction, the same thing could well happen in the presidential election. In the last few years, it seems the Clintons have turned very ugly. I know you believe that the country can't get united behind one president but I know that if things continue to go the way they are, we will become a very divided nation. Probability of uniting behind Obama is much, much greater than it is behind Clinton. She's an asshole.......she's made that very clear in the last few weeks.....a very unlikeable asshole.
