>Reid and Pelosi have been dismal failures.

Pelosi's been slightly better than Reid, but overall, I agree with you.

I'd like to see Chris Dodd as Senate Majority Leader, and I think that that's what he was really running for in the presidential primary.

I'd guess that if Pelosi isn't the House Speaker in the next session, it'll be between Steny Hoyer and Jack Murtha. Murtha is at least very anti-war, but I don't like either of them, really. Keep an eye on Robert Wexler in Florida. He's a bit young, but he's pushing hard. He's the one that's drawn up impeachment papers against Cheney. I like him a lot -- he's the one that Stephen Colbert got to say, "I like smoking crack and having sex with hookers because they're fun!"

"If Lyndon Johnson was running the Senate and someone like him the House, they'd be GETTING their way on things."

Whatever else you might say about LBJ, he did know how to get a big ol' handful of testicles and then how to squeeze them...

This is the same L. Johnson who concocted an event so he could escalate the Vietnam war. Thanks but no thanks.
