What can I say.....if the speeches aren't doing it for you, then read his books; read his website. If you are a policy wonk as you say, then you need to educate yourself about the candidates to make your decision. As for me, I operate from my gut.....and that works for me.

My first answer was a bit flip. Sorry. I've said it before that Obama doesn't do it for me on all issues. I am particularly bothered by his current position on Iraq. Having said that, he is the only candidate on both sides who I TRUST to do the right thing. And that's the most important thing to me....trusting my leaders. Something I have not been able to do on the national level for quite some time. Of course, it helps that Obama and I are close ideologically.
