Exactly my thoughts, too, thanks... beyond his genuinely brave war record, which I completely recognize and fully respect and salute, it's not enough to "give" him the Presidency...

I've thought a lot about this. Yes, he is called a hero, because he was a survivor through terrible times.

To me though, a real hero is something more. A hero is someone who leads his/her life through principles day by day by day no matter what. There are many 'unrecognized' heroes.

He deserves all the praise and recognition appointed to him for that time of survival. That does not make him a good Republican. That can be judged by the 'garment' he has worn in life, through the words and actions and results large and small. Do they line up?

McCain is not my personal choice at this point.
