Not everyone wants to get very personal on a political thread, and local involvement is personal, and can be identifying. I think many people here are involved on a local level- as I am- but this is a general discussion board, not a clearing house for local politics. To infer people aren't interested because they don't share their local politics is like inferring they don't have sex because they don't talk about how often they do it, or where. I wouldn't leap to that conclusion myself...

It's not a bad question.

I helped raise money for Mayor Villaraigosa's campaign. I've volunteered at a local polling place on election day. But admittedly, not much else.

Now I put the same question to you.
