To infer people aren't interested because they don't share their local politics is like inferring they don't have sex because they don't talk about how often they do it, or where.

Chuckle. Twice over.

inferring they don't have sex because they don't talk about how often they do it,

Funniest moment in Mr and Mrs. Smith comes at the end when they return to the psychologist with their revived marriage, and Brad says," Ask the question again! Ask the question again! You know, the sex question!" And then he smugly holds up ten fingers.

Coug's question reminded me of another time, another thread long ago, when someone accused you and me of being elitist yuppie moms who didn't do anything to help the world, and it turned out we actually have done quite a lot- maybe we haven't saved the world, but I do think we have tried to improve things in our little corners. I seldom talk about what I do in my private life (well, ok, unless it seems like a funny story).

I feel no need to justify myself to anyone else. Either what someone says makes sense to me or it doesn't, and I assume they view me the same way.

And I had sex four times last night.
And that was before we went to bed.

Way OFF OT.. Please excuse me Dale but I have to answer this since it involves about what I said about political involvement and that's damn important, imo......

I so disagree with you Mme,

I have been on SI for 10 years and I have observed that people READILY post personal things when they perceive them as being positive, PC, or whatever.. Whether it is about eating, exercising, being "green", etc.. And I think, no I KNOW, most people would think local political involvement was POSITIVE..

And would post about it, If they were REALLY involved.. :)

As people here (on SI, I mean) go on and on about church, choir, charity and other volunteer work, etc.. Which is just fine.. Just great!! :)

I do and I am not too far off from the norm of average people..

So I standby my statement. Snide remarks about me aside. Sex is a whole different subject.. BTW, They should get some now and then, rather than just talk about it..:)

And what Rambi said, (yes, I say her name because she said mine, I usually don't do that) about her suggesting you guys being described as elitist yuppies (WOW, what a 90's term), that's the last thing I would have described you guys at.. :)

Just my observations and I think I am a darn good observer..

Take care,

c
