I hit on those 6 girls most of the time though. Unfortunately I wasn't the only one. I didn't spend so much time on philosophy though. Heidegger yes, but besides that I read all the classics, you mention them. From Longos via Rabelais, much - but not all - of Shakespeare via the French and the Russians. Never regretted that. What's more, I spent even more time on the ultimate abstract dream, Opera. And still hit on the more attractive of the girlies available. Wasn't that many though. Attractive, I mean. Taro
