McCain's too fricken old. I agree with you about his military service, too much is made of it. To say that commanding a squadron is a foundation for the Presidency is a bit like saying learning numbers 0-9 is a foundation for calculus.

I've been through a few squadrons and served under 4 different COs. All flew whenever they could, to nice places...<g> Most when they were at the squadron were shuffling papers or monitoring something, attending briefings....the rest of the time they'd be hob nobbing with some admiral somewhere...

And he's served in the Senate.... IMO neither McCain, Clinton, or O'bama are qualified to be President. The only ones that have any real life experience are, at this point, either Huckabee or Romney. When it comes down to those 2 I don't think I have to remind this thread that Romney sticks out like a sore thumb....perhaps that's a bad analogy....<g>

His military service was 40 years ago. What has he done since? Married a billionaire and served in the senate.

Like Kerry, another war hero from 40 years ago who married a billionaire and served in the senate, he'll get the nomination and lose in November.
