There was a fatigue and disgust with the Democratic Congress in 1994 after so many decades of control, probably compounded by the Clintons looking weak over the healthcare flap and other stuff. So Gingrich sold the myth that a new crowd would do business a new way. That lasted 12 years before people were fatigued and disgusted with it too. I don't think Fox and talk radio will matter that much in swing areas like where I am in northern Virginia, Ohio, etc. As for the 527s, they will be attacking whoever the Democratic nominee may be. I think Hillary will counterpunch and look defensive while Obama will try to rise above it. But we won't know for sure until the game is fully underway.
