"Please check my math (Why do I have to ask you to check my math when Brinker should publish this monthly when he publishes his newsletter totals for each portfolio???)"

What am I, your secretary? I'm not on your payroll (or anyone else's), and I don't have much interest in checking numbers that are probably correct anyway.

"BTW, I'd be happy to tell you how I am doing... but I am not the subject here... 8)"

I don't think it matters where you publish your numbers, as long as you make them public.

I do think it is valid, though, to make comparisons here between Brinker and his competitors.

So Kirk refuses to divulge his performance results.

David Korn refuses again today to divulge his performance results.

And yet they both publish "newsletters" they claim are a better alternative to Brinker's Marketimer.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who the rank amateurs are in this game!!

I respectfully disagree. Equity investing is a long term affair, and monthly returns don't have much meaning. Short term folks really shouldn't be in the game.

On the other hand, Mutual Funds seem to track quarterly and annual returns, so I think this is a little more reasonable. And I don't think such information should be contained in the Newsletter itself, but rather on a website which is available to everyone. Check out how Vanguard lists their returns on their site. They do a bang up job. Of course, they are a MF company and not a newsletter outfit, so it's a little apples to oranges.
