So far, these gold cos. have proven that they can't achieve growth no matter how high the price of gold goes, so I'm avoiding them. I would look at ASA when the discount gets back to 20%, though.

I don't see any growth in the future for newspapers, and especially the NYT. The younger generation can barely read and does not read, except in abbreviations online and with text messages. The NYT has had a number of scandals that has hurt their credibility and subscriptions continue to decline. I would venture to say that The Washington Post is now the most respected print name. Newsprint prices continue to rise with the fall of the Bush Peso. The NYT is considered a liberal paper, despite the fact they were in Karl Rove's pocket during the first three years of the Iraq scam. Even McCain is catching heat for the fact that the NYT endorsed him.

Unless the print media can find a way to get paid for online content, I don't want my money there.

There are many buys in the real estate stocks. We just don't know which they are, as we haven't walked their properties or read their loan agreements. The babies are being thrown out with the bath water, but all the kiddies look dingy gray or all the water looks like babies. <G>
