When the reality becomes that about 96% of the universe now exists which before was, by and large, not even suspected, but changed so such that, as a crude example, the earth could be buried inside a mountain, but not know it for the simple reason one can only know something is if one in some way interacts with it.

Carl Sagan if he were alive today , because of the stunning events of the past 10 years, would be writing a new book that would, in scientific integrity, be overthrowing his views that existed, hard-wired in his mind at the time of his death.

It is now near 10 years where in the deep underground they have been observing 24/7 for an event to happen, the first proving of the existence of the theoritical particle, the neutrino.
There have been a couple early reports that such a track was observed, but on analysis was then deemed not proven.
This is what is weird , and frustrating, that germanium nuclei that we hope to reveal the existenceof neutrinos, is being bombarded by "dark matter" billions of times a day---and yet nothing has yet been recorded of a neutrino track or some other unknown track, but we know it is being bombarded relentlessly, just as your own body is walking through perhaps oceans of this stuff, but you and it do NOT interact.
In sum, regards matters of sentient otherness throughout space, with humanoid feelings and thought is now a viable option for imagining and without being in anyway "preposterous".
But i have found hard-core creationist types and hard-core materialist types to both are bigoted to things occuring that challenge there own deeply embedded prejudice regards what is.
