But what if you disagree with McCain, but disagree with Obama and Clinton even more? Than voting for him is holding you nose and voting for the lesser of two evils, not "lusting for power".

For some reason I am reminded of a joke slogan I've seen before

"Vote for Cthulhu, why settle for the lesser of two evils...".

No particular point in mentioning this, just a random thought that popped in to my mind.

If either dem is elected, Souter, Stevens and probably Ginsburg would retire ASAP. With the Senate pickups the dems will get this year, Obama or Clinton will have a fair amount of leeway in picking justices. Should be fun.

Conservatives jump the shark: party purity über alles
neoneocon.com

Neo-Neocon on conservative's disdain for McCain and their subsequent faulty logic in saying they will vote for a Democrat or sit out the election should McCain get the nomination: "The logic—if you can call it that—is to allow the nation to hit rock bottom, somewhat like an alcoholic, in order to finally see that its true salvation lies in electing a conservative purist."

I'm with Neo--alcoholics often hit rock bottom and stay there.
