A similar fun thing for children is to all get on a push it around roundabout and get it going, then all climb into the centre. They learn at a young age about conservation of momentum; angular momentum in this case.

Those who get stuck on the perimeter learn about centripetal forces F = mw2r meaning they have trouble hanging on as the roundabout accelerates.

Those in the pool learn to get to the centre if they don't want to go in a hurry, which is counter-intuitive as the sides of the pool are traditionally the safest place.

There are many fun lessons to learn in life, and always more to be learned, all to often when one least expects to have to learn them.

Meanwhile, I have finally, after a dozen years, given up on Globalstar and now have no financial interest in it. I will reconsider when they raise funds to launch the next constellation in a year or so. If they have got a good marketing plan [meaning my one] then I will give them a Tonka Truckload of money, meaning a wallop.

But after a full decade of trying to get them to adopt a sensible pricing and marketing policy, I have given up. The constellation is apparently decomposing fairly quickly and the 8 satellites which were launched last year are not enough to provide a decent service.

For now, I will hold US$, waiting for NZ to implode when the weight of mortgages owed to Mrs Watanabe is called and the debtors suddenly find that house prices can go down as well as up and so can NZ$. For a decade, NZers have borrowed like there's no tomorrow to get rich quick on revaluing their houses up.

Meanwhile, this cute little Asus EeePC is so cool, and I suspect Zonbu is too, that I should short Microsoft, whether or not they buy Yahoo! Note that Zonbu is not Zenbu. I'm in my favourite cafe, nicknamed Latteland, using the Asus and a RoamAD Wi-Fi network provided by Kordia. Life is good.

450MHz CDMA/OFDM is gaining ground. China is falling further behind, which is a status befitting their political ideology of state serfdom for the proletariat.

Imagine how well China could do if they went Gung Ho with something people around the world want instead of their dopey TD-SCDMA.

Yep, for kids simple little things can be entertaining and make them laugh. Learn to be a kid again.

Stimulus is 'action among friends'. "...special interests are coming to the trough and that when I'm reading about and hearing about things like tax rebates for coal companies, the benefits for oil well drilling and things like this, I'm concerned that it's going to get bogged down," Paulson said.

I am guessing the whirlpool was going counterclockwise?

this seems like a good deal, less than $46/sqft and nice terms thanks to state support
