Well, the Fed is quite a creature - it is difficult to
determine how much they are actually printing, and the number
of coupon passes is not a very good indication.

A coupon pass is indeed equivalent to Fed buying T-s on
auctions. If they use money created out of thin air to do that,
they are printing. If not, they are not, not even when
they do a coupon pass. For example: they do a coupon pass,
then drain their account for the same amount. They did not
print. In addition, there is a bunch of other stuff the
Fed can do. They can also hide stuff, pressing the "button"
so that nobody knows. Creepy! -g-/-ng-
