When your worried about what (& what not) your state system is teaching your kids at school, it's probaby time to seriously think of leaving the country. That's what we did.

Why aren't you capable of admitting you made a mistake? If you don't have that minimal amount of honesty, why would anyone discuss anything more complex with you? You'll just deny or obfuscate when proven wrong. That is the hallmark of religion vs. science. Science has no problem admitting errors and changing course WHEN THE DATA INDICATES IT SHOULD. Religion on the other hand, clings to beliefs well past the nonsense stage. Well meaning religious parents teach their home schooled kids not only nonsense, but also the modus operandi of clinging to it. Ouch! What sort of parent would do that to their kids?
