Jack:

Such on topic analogies push home the problem with those that like to disregard the law. And if you don't think its analogous, taking $30 from buyers for each of 200 million computers a year is $6 billion in theft annually. Since an average US worker earns about $37K a year times 50 years equals $1.85 million. Round that up to $2 million and the theft equals the lifetime earnings of 3K US workers each year.

You dislike hearing about 5 deaths, what about 3K deaths per year? And another bad thing is that people have been killed for less than $73 as it happened here during a robbery and murder of a Miller Brewing executive a couple of weeks ago. So I'm being generous at $2 million a life.
