Like I said, I'm not opining on whether it would be a good idea to put in the time and effort, only challenging the notion that talk of being in Iraq for 100 years is inherently disqualifying.

I was dead set against entering Iraq. It was very, very clear to me that doing so was a bad move. But I'm finding it harder to find a definitive position on what to do about it now that we're there. I think that a lot of the argument for pulling out is more an expression of anger and regret for going there in the first place than a thoughtful plan going forward.
