Now all we need to do is raise taxes on everyone by 21.6%. Whatever people are paying right now to the federal government (that includes Federal, SS, and Medicare), take that amount and increase it by 21.6%. Doesn't matter if you're rich or poor. If you paid any tax whatsoever, pay 21.6% more. Not all bad. At least you are finally talking solutions. But honestly, do you think people should pay based on a percent of income? Non-progressive? We know that the very rich are paying a lower % right now than the middle class. So you would have people in the < $50K range with kids really suffering. You think that's the best solution for the country?
