We just haven't different tastes. My husband loves techno (for example)- I can't STAND it, but I still love him, as long as he turns the damn techno off when I'm in his car.

I like character and weirdness in voices- the Beatles are too sugary for me, except for Lennon, and even then, I don't really love his voice. On top of that, it isn't the music of my youth- which is Led Zeppelin, the Who, Blue Oyster Cult, etc.

Since our tastes are so different, you probably should ignore my musical tastes.

Was it the music you didn't like in Moulin Rouge, or something else? I loved the freakishness of Moulin- that version of "Like a Virgin" for example, brought repulsive kinkyness to a whole new level for me. It's the same reason I love Rocky Horror.
