I hope someone answers that so that I can understand it.

Everytime I turned on the TV yesterday, all three cable news channels were carrying it.
Gosh, you would think it was the OJ trial or something.
(joke, that was a joke)

I thought the whole thing was ludicrous. All these congressmen (or women) behaving exactly the way we deplore here- ugly behavior, not terribly intelligent questions, moral posturing. If this is about guilt or innocence, then send it to court or let the league handle it.
I didn't watch much, but what I saw left me fuming. I don't get it.

I find the hearings a odd priority, at the very best. Seems to me it's baseball's problem. I did hear some speculation on Mike and Mike that congress was holding the current hearings at least in part because one of their own produced the report for MLB and Clemens is dissing their brother by challenging it so they have to dress him down. FWIW
