No, don't have a formaldehyde story...only a Black Mold story...the crows pecked holes in the felt of the roof we had put on several years before, but should have had 5-8 more years till we had to do it again... we need there was a roof leak. DIDN'T know why we were both having bronchial problems until we had a toilet valve break upstairs, flooded a room, went through the ceiling, and down into three rooms downstairs. Insurance company sent out the cleaners and large blowers. When they were taking off the ceiling mounted valances in our room upstairs, they discovered the black mold, AFTER it had been blown throughout the house and into all the ducts in the house.

Since it was the insurance companies fault, because they were trying to save money and used the blowers so they wouldn't have to replace carpets and floors, they took care of the problem. BUT we pay hefty homeowners insurance.

Some might ask why the people in Katrina didn't have insurance? Or what they did with the government money? Or why they were still in government housing OF WHATEVER KIND 3+ years later?

Next they will probably sue the Government for "Making them stay in trailers, that eventually formed formaldehyde"

I think the key to your story is that YOU fixed the problem....Either you paid for insurance and they did, or you YOURSELF did....

One thing does make me wonder though....How many mobile homes had this problem, and what company made them? Were they from China too, or were they made by Union dominated companies....?

PS Glad you are OK....that stuff has to be miserable.
