No. Even more ridiculous sounding but likely is our eventual support of the Suni Crescent that will challenge the Shi'ite power in a few years. The same Suni fundies that are beginning to take over Pakistan and Afghanistan. We will eventually make peace with them. They will extend their crescent of power from Pakistan through Afghanistan, Turkey, Jordan, and parts of Asyria to clash with the Shi'ite power crescent in a major conflict. The Suni Arab countries of Egypt and Saudi Arabia will welcome/insist upon our support. We will have non-religious justification for our role as participants and we are the gate keepers for other western super powers to throw in on one side or the other. It wont be an exact split of powers on one side or the other, there will be a quadrilateral division of opposition. All of this will shape up come to a head and be resolved within the next 5 years or so.
