Sounds good to me. We'll put it in downtown Wellington.

What's wrong with building a huge pile of rubbish, say 5 km high?

That idea has been tried in my town on a small scale. There was a local stone quarry that was used as a rubbish tip. Eventually the big hole in the side of the hill filled up and it was closed down. European funds were made available and the plan was to cap the rubbish tip with a membrane to stop gas escaping, and to turn it into a dry ski slope. The escaping gas was piped and burned off, but the instability of the decomposing rubbish was a bigger problem then expected. They are going to have to leave it for another twenty years before doing anything.

Fortunately it's on the other side of the valley from where I live.
