I did listen to the call tonight. A couple of quick things.

First, no guidance for the year. I think they learned their lessons of the fickleness of the markets. And not much mention of the Cypress deal.

Margins and ASPs strong on present products and it sounds like this will continue.

4 meg product sounds like it should be qualified by the middle of the year, maybe next quarter and it sounds like the customers are lining up with programs ready to go. Printers, Raid/Storage, Industrial are the big potentials that were mentioned.

There should not be any canabalization on older product lines by the new chips.

aGiga tech sounds like could have product for next year. This is the big potential for Simtek and could seriously expand the markets that they sell into. And it also sounds like Simtek is betting significantly here. R&D is increasing from 1 million in 07 to 3 million this year. Big bucks for a company like Simtek.

Cypress is going to be using nvsram in their PSoc program and it sounds like it is happening in a big way this year.

With the nvsram stuff going into Cypress products and the potential for aGiga tech, I can see why Cypress wants to buy this now. I think this is a ringing endorsement for what Simtek is up to and Cypress wants to get it before it gets too expensive.

I am sure that the naysayers will find many things to slant negatively. My take was very positive and I think things could potentially break positive in a big way for Simtek by later this year. My guess is that Crestview has to sell some share to raise cash for some other reason that wanting to get rid of the shares now or maybe to diversify things a bit but I wouldn't believe that they would do it because they don't believe but I could be wrong on this. I also get the feeling that Simtek is in this for the long haul and unless this was all an act(always possible but I don't think so), I don't think they will be selling to Cypress on the cheap.

If people are interested in their own take, they should listen for themselves and see what they feel about what they hear.
