Regarding the McCain story, I'm curious what people's opinions are.

Was it responsible of the Times to hold it back until McCain had effectively won the nomination, or should they have given voters the chance to evaluate the story ?

Or should they have buried the story altogether ?

We have CHaney with a daughter who is gay and he is out basing gays.

Link, please. I think both Cheneys have tended not to bring up this issue, but I'm open to becoming better informed.

I wonder what moral grounds the Republicans have to point a accusing finger at Bill Clinton for abusing their position of power to seek sexual favors.

That was Paula Jones's issue. The Republicans' (and many Democrats') further issue was that he committed perjury in the Paula Jones case, for which he was disbarred. If the Senate had convicted Clinton for perjury, Al Gore would be president today and there would be no war in Iraq.
