When we analyze the first decision from a 2008 view point we need to not forget the "slam dunk" perspective of the presence of WMDs that was shared by most. I love to see the videos of Hillary explaining her vote. Today from 2008 the perceived reality at the time of the first decision is conveniently forgotten.

Lessons we need to learn is the importance of human intelligence. One of the gifts of Bill was the CIA under George Tennent - a bad decision remade by Dubya.

The ability of 2008 perspective critics to forget the environment of the time must not be dropped from the discussion.

One can understand why you might not want to dwell on the first, but we probably do need to dwell on it so we don't do it again, and so we thoroughly analyze how we screwed up

But Iraq was "doing it again" for those of us old enough to remember VietNam.
