rofl, so the massive deficit spending is really a great service to our country that this government is providing. Give me a break Hawkmoon. You are in complete denial. There are a number of people like you trying to explain this pathetic fiscal management away... typical excuses are "Bush isn't REALLY a republican"... "Bush is the past, lets move on.." ... and your excuse "we needed treasurys so deficit spending is the RIGHT and PRUDENT thing to do" (HAHAHHA) etc. to try to make Bush look like a red herring, or some noble perveyor of the people or something.

The fact is we had a republican congress and president and they acted like the government of a 3rd world country, embellishing themselves, their companies and their lobbyists at the expense of everything else, with no bid contracts and every other nonregulated trick in the book to loot the federal treasury. There is no excuse for it and we are now looking at expenditures that will overcome receipts in the next 15 or 20 years.

If you haven't noticed not many here are falling for your sound bytes. I suggest you hang out on the political threads, in those places the posters are so stupid they can't determine that a dollar that declines 50% means no amt of tax cuts will improve their standard of living.
