A universal system in this country would probably be paid primarily by letting the "temporary tax cut" for the rich expire....They wouldn't have grown dependent on it, would they? Medicaid funds are used for more that coverage for the poor....handicapped people get aid, eg for wheelchairs, prosthetics..... And you'll love this one.....doctors in training in grad school get Medicaid assistance.....no one poor there. nytimes.com And btw, 50 % of tax filers are not tax free.....31% are in that category.....their income is 20K and below..... 72.14.205.104 I
