Since the fall of the USSR there's been no reason not to positively engage Cuba. It's foolish to punish Cuba, and it's foolish to punish American businesses.

Who cares what the Cubans in Florida think? Should their ancient hatreds drive our foreign policy? That's like letting Taiwanese Americans (or Tibetan Americans) dictate our policy toward China (and quite frankly, the Tibetans have a good case to make, but who gives a crap? No one.) We want what China has to offer, so we swallow their human rights abuses and communism. Time to suck up and swallow on Cuba too.

Suma;

Personally I would love to go to Cuba

John's going to get burnt on this Cuba thing. What like 10 presidents have come and gone since our policy there? Ya, some success. What is John McCain afraid of? That they are going to invade us? Silly.

I have friends that have gone there. They just go to Mexico or Canada and then fly strait to Cuba. They absolutely love the place.
