The global warming topic has been beat to death on this thread. I refuse to think it is anything other than another left wing kook fad, soon to pass, as did the last ice age "crisis" in 1973, or that the world's over population will begin starving to death in the 1980s. The earth's temperature has varied in cycles during recorded history; for the left to conclude that it's all my fault this time around is ridiculous.

Well put. The average American is not familiar with how scientific theory works nor how statistics work. So they see a one day low temperature and think that one day refutes the theory of global warming arising from increased CO2 levels caused by increased human output of CO2. That all points back to the woefully inadequate education most Americans get. We need to start re-investing in our schools. How can we possibly debate the best solutions to our problems when most Americans lack the education to get engaged in serious debates?

Seems global cooling is wiping out global warming this season.
