Without government intervention, everybody would lose. There would be total chaos. The trend is clear. Government or governments are here to stay. The only thing you can do is to try to make the best of it. Our knowledge base is expanding all the time. There are things we know now that we didn't know 1000 years ago and there are things that we will know 1000 years from now that we don't know today. As individuals there are things that we know today that we didn't know 20 years ago and if we are lucky enough to live for another 20 years, we will have more knowledge and become wiser 20 years from now. There is an endless cycle of growth and renewal. Things will get better and better. We live in a system that was designed for grow but, of course, there are people that think they know it all and they will do everything possible to stop progress.
