I read that last night. Someone sent it to me via PM. To call it a "stretch" is generous. It's only the beginning of this kind of stuff.

It fits the strategy that says a campaign spends the early part of it in a negative mode, defining the opposition, trying to make it stick. Here we go.

Obama's mother sounds like a hoot, to me. I think rebelling against Eisenhower conformity shows that she was intelligent and creative. Nothing wrong with that.
