I have to hope that sort of thing sickens people on the right (although perhaps not the far right) as much as it sickens people on the left, or in the center.

Most people, I think, don't go around insulting other people's mothers.

Interesting reaction. I found the article illuminating and very good. I think, based on my reading of Obama's first book, it painted a pretty accurate picture of both of them, as well as his grandparents. And, personally, I like his mother more, after reading this article. Why do you think it's biased?

The right also seems to be honing in on Michelle Obama as a weak spot, the latest incident being her talking about public service, about how people need to enter it and give up corporate jobs for it. I have to admit that knowing she makes 300K a year did cause her to sound a little hypocritical.
