3/7/08 update
Monsters, monsters everywhere and they're nowhere more scary than on Wall Street. As usual, frightened investors fled to their caves and with buyers scarce the Nasdaq Composite Index closed the week down -16.58% YTD (vs. -14.36% YTD a week ago). Biotech stock buyers were even harder to find and at Friday's close the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed down -9.96% YTD (vs. -6.10% YTD a week ago). The Contest portfolios were thrashed even more thoroughly, with the median closing off -14.48% YTD (vs. -7.90% YTD a week ago).
At Friday's close, only our Contest leader ROBERT's portfolio was in the black YTD with 9 of the 33 portfolios beating the NBI.
Although hit hard, ROBERT's portfolio did manage to close the week up 21.6% YTD. My own portfolio slipped into second place, with a -.15% YTD loss.
Forget the market and have a fun weekend folks!
