they bring nothing to the table themselves.... They bring clarity about how the rankings were weighted. I found it fascinating. Did you know that they rank on performance relative to potential? My grammar school did that for a few years. Didn't matter how well you did but whether in the teacher's opinion you had the capacity to do better.
