I believe her point is that if it is a moral issue than you still have to address it in a practical way, and that if you don't think through the consequences of your ideas carefully you may wind up with the moral issue that you care about getting worse not better.

Speaking about Brains, John.. Have you caught the PBS program on brains ? I am watching it piece meal as it has to many facts that little doses are more easily digestible. Last night's salient fact. At age 30 we have command of thirty thousand words. .At age 75 that is reduced to ten thousand. They have MRI pictures of the actual physical deterioration of the organ as one ages. There is really nothing one can do about it so all of you youngsters out there take advantage of your abilities now. I notice that I feel more like a light weight here every day. Now at least I have an excuse. (:)))
