How in the world do you figure that? Those of us who have "lived within our means" don't get rewarded - we get penalized. Those who lived "beyond their means" by borrowing more than they could afford, by taking out EQUITY mortgages and playing with the money - they are the winners. In effect they are given free money by living beyond their means. Why in the world would they ever stop?

There is no question that after this the world trust in US asset backed securities will be equivalent to Latin America levels after they defaulted 20 or 30 years ago.

There is no question, but only because American assets in general are not looked on in that way, and mostly won't be.
