I don't have time to get the survey, but I remember seeing one that showed a majority of people in this country were pleased with the public education available in their own cities. So I don't think even a majority "hates" public education, let alone "pretty much everybody."

Lookit, I worked long and hard to become a lawyer. My husband worked long and hard to become an engineer. And we both work long and hard hours to have nice things and take care of our family. We made a lot of sacrifices to afford to live in Fairfax.

Some of it's luck, some of it's due to delaying gratification and making sacrifices. When other people were partying hardy, I was working three jobs to pay for college and studying every minute I wasn't working.

I don't mind helping people out if they need it, but taking away my nice things because they don't have nice things is not going to happen.

Don't tell me I have to shop at Walmart because poor people have to shop at Walmart.

I'd rather quit work than be ripped off.
