Patti,

My heart goes out this man's family, you and your son. It must have been such a shock to this man's family to have this take place so suddenly. It makes you realize that every minute of every day is precious. God bless.

You are welcome. Colon cancer has been known to be a silent disease for some time. It usually doesn't have too many symptoms and when it is found, sometimes it is just too late. That is why colonoscopies are so vitally important to have done to try to catch it in its early stage as it is then easier to treat and overcome in most cases.

My prayers go out to your son and his best friend. That is just so sad to hear.

My sympathy to all of you PB....and you, Justin, and Naomi have given all of us a good "head's up"......

It really is so hard to lose a good friend... He must have had a very high tolerance to pain to have gone that long without a checkup....

I am so sorry about your friend. I pray for his family, and for your peace in loss.

Believe me, I know what it means to lose a friend. I lost one myself, through liver cancer, the year I turned 55. He was nine months younger than I, but a respected colleague and close friend. A terrible loss for me.

My friend suffered from the treatments as much as he did from the cancer. That's what happens when you don't know about it and let it go too long, I'm afraid.

I'm sure you have a lot of support at home, but if you ever want to unload just PM me for my email address.

Gosh Pati...............just read about your friends passing. So sorry to hear someone so young and vibrant could be gone in such a short time and from something that he didn't recognize taking place within his body. Having an annual physical and just being in touch with your health.........listening to your body and paying attention is vital.

Not a happy way to start a new week and something no one can ever forget.
