Using judges in place of laws is IMO plain wrong. If the party of the left is proud of ideas they can stand up and vote for them in public.

It's always possible that some of the younger men on the supreme court may die early. Justice Thomas's brother died early- 50? I think (heart). The youth of some of the conservatives makes it look like the court is stable, but you just never know. They do have good health coverage though, so that's a plus for them.
