As usual you've presented not data to show that but so what? Intel sells into the highend, mid range and lowend markets. It's very useful to have a single very low cost die that can serve multiple price points, even at the lowend. Now that it's established that Intel has a single core die, that shoots more holes in TWY's swiss cheese theory about Intel's yields. According to him Intel has millions of defective C2Ds that can serve as single core cheapies, yet Intel went to the trouble of developing a single core design to fill those sockets TWY's defective C2Ds were supposed to go into. Intel also went to the trouble to develop smaller die, reduce cache versions of C2D to fill the sockets of those defective C2D cache rejects that were supposed to be available by the millions. Why? See a problem there? C2D, Allendale and Millville are all 65nm products. Why would Intel develop 3 different versions of C2D if there were so many C2D defects available to be fused as lower grade products? Do you suppose there might not be enough bad parts to fill those slots? I know this is practically impossible for the AMD faithful to conceive of but you might want to consider some new possibilities.
