Statistics are bullish, as indicated here, for example:

The "sentimentrader" posted his own study about what happens when SP reaches a 52 week low and then reverses and rallies 3% or more in a day. There were 5 cases in 20 years, and each time 2 weeks later the markets were higher. But I can see that in some of those cases the rally eventually failed (the last one that did not fail was in Oct 2002).

It's probably a bad time to short the markets -- but, quite likely, also a bad time to bet on the resumption of the Big Bull.

What's patently clear right now is that: "There is no reason in world to buy stocks", and "you'd have to be crazy to buy stocks."

So are you saying one should or shouldn't buy? I'd read the survey results as "buy".
