Wasn't it a BSC analyst who was humping FNM toxic-waste (otherwise known as "FNM stock") the other day? What the hell was THAT all about?

After IMB (which was relatively "easy"), Bear Stearns, and Lehman I feel it is time for another dark prediction. I was thinking about a new... "quality" in failure. Like, markets don´t exist any more (which is plain ridiculous), or money ceases to exist because people don´t trust its value anymore. Or much simpler, a central bank goes bust (hard to imagine), or the Eurozone splits into two or several pieces (quite possible)...

But to no avail. So I succumb to linear thinking and out comes:

"Despite all the repair measures, despite numerous fed sponsored quick fixes and a good trillion in buyout money...., I believe that Citigroup will not survive in its current form. The ultimate return to shareholders of C might be "very small" ".
Period.

9 months? I don´t know. But I will see the day, I´m quite sure.
