It's not "spin". Killing people is different from rhetoric that doesn't advocate killing people. It's spin to try to say they are the same.

God damn the US is the same as hanging people for their color? I don't think so. I don't think failing to see these things as equivalent is spin. You made a poor comparison. That's all.

Oh, Bob, there is little doubt that the organized hate of the KKK, with lynchings being only the most visible aspect, with the intimidation of folk, massive intimidation, which was the aim of the lynchings, is certainly not even comparable.

Wright's an angry guy and that rhetoric came out of that anger. One of the remarkable things about Obama is that anger seems to have passed him by. It's hard to understand if you have seen some of the black experience in this country close up.

That makes him all the more remarkable.
