well at least they are english teachers and not geography teachers. We are in a global economy but we continue to teach our kids as if 95% if the world that concerns them is the United States. I just finsished reading a transcript of the bush's interview with Kudlow. He says he found out the details of the bsc bailout on thursday. it all sounds somewhat misleading to me. when the fed made their announcement on tuesday about trading treasuries for mortgage backed securities they had to have bsc in the forefront of their minds. I dont understand how they can do this for BSC and not do it for everyone else. why should carlyle go down the tubes and bsc get saved? seems to me that if regulator are going to allow leverage of 30:1 its foolish to bail out stupid people, institutions, and investors who dont know what they are getting into. I have yet to be compensated for a bad investment/speculation that I have entered into. where do i apply for a government bailout for the decline in the value of my house since i bought it?

I saw that "Fifth Grader", too. I know there are a lot of dumb people out there, but a high school English teacher does not know the continent where the Blue Danube flows? I sometimes wonder if they pick stupid contestants so they don't have to give away so much money. The other thing that scared me is that she said she was "An A+ student" in school. Geez, how dumb are the kids with "Bs"?
